Uh...Over here *points to self*
Ok, so “Hello there!” I’m new, not too witty but certainly not dull either. I’m just Me: Full time mom of four taking some time off school (I really need to get back, and I will….soon). I am majoring in English/Creative Writing with a minor in Sociology. I’m considering switching the two to pursue Archeology, but still unsure.
Oh, and I do write as well, hence the Creative Writing major. I dabble in poetry, never in fiction, although I’ve been known to write posts as long as some novellas. That doesn’t mean that I will, but be forewarned.
Well, ok, enough about me….

Thank you. And it would appear that you deserve a "Welcome" as well.
So from one Newb to another...."Welcome"

I think I will. So far you seem to be a great bunch of people. Perhaps I'll bombard you with some poetry soon.

wow!... welcome from another mom... how on earth do you manage all that and 4 kids, too?... i had to wait till my oldest 5 of 7 were grown and gone, before i could start writing seriously, so my hat's off to you and then some!
btw, had i ever gone to college, archeology would've been my choice, too...
love and hugs, maia

I went to college off and on through the years. If I actually added it all up I have a good 5 years of college under my belt but only 3 of them are in English/Sociology. The other two years were spent jumping majors that I thought would bring in the most money rather than doing something I loved.
My advise: Go to school NOW! It's not too late. But....never settle by way of potential income. Choose by way of interest and enjoyment. After all, you'll do much better in a career you truly like more than one that you don't.
I was only able to do this because I stayed home all these years and took care of the kids. 2 of them are gone now, and the other two still think I'm cool, so I'm doing good at the moment. I'm going to try to get back to some classes this summer: Cultural Diversity, 3rd year Creative Writing, and finish up the last of my required math courses. After that I'm transfering to Purdue University in the fall. My plan is to graduate college when my daughter graduates high school, then we're off to Italy for the summer.....that's the plan anyway.

Hi there, Madam Cindy! Hey, you could be a student of our school! Our motto is: "Where lifelong studying is fun". Some of our students are 80, can you believe that?
Btw, I'm a teacher of Dutch to foreigners. I've been to uni and have a master's in Dutch and English Literature & Linguistics.

I always leave my husband out of the number. Don't know why. I've only been raising him for 20 years.
