Intro and question... - Writers Forum

Hello,
I am co-editing a chapbook and because of that, I am, of course, doing the rounds to get the word out. That's not to say I won't post here, but I'll be totally honest...I can't imagine where I would find the time! I am, however, an adult student--an English major (writing minor), and it stands to reason that I would very likely post here in the future once my schedule loosens up a bit.

I'm taking a creative writing class this semester...so it might be sooner than I think.

About the chapbook...before I just randomly post submission guidelines and such, I would much rather wait for some kind soul here to tip me on the P&Q's, as I really don't want to be considered a spammer and thus be offensive. Could someone here possibly inform me on how to go about putting the information here in this forum?

I guess you can post you information either under Writing (Markets) or Genreral (Advertisements). If you want to make sure however, contact one of the mentors.

PS...went to the first day of the creative writing class this afternoon, and the prof tells us to think of the most painful, devastating moment of your life and then take ten minutes and write about it. Then we had to read it out loud in front of the class. Mine was when my father died, and I (and I'm the only one, mind you) start cryin' like a schmuck when it came my turn. I'm 31 years old and I'm crying in front of a bunch of 19 year olds whose most upsetting moment in their lives thus far has been the first break-up, or losing at a sporting event. Oh boy...this sure seems like fun! Way to start off the semester!
