Bricklane is on a distinguished road
Bricklane, the learner

Hello, all, I am Bricklane, and here is something about myself:

Where my username came from?
----Bricklane doesn't come from the novel, Bricklane, but comes from one dream I had several days ago. In the dream, I was discarded by someone on a dark bricklane, a bricklane you could find in an English novel about 18th century's England, or one you could find in Italy where Godfather was doing his business. It was raining heavily in the dream, and I couldn't be even wetter and colder. In a word, I was abandoned without a reason.

Why I came here and signed as a member?
---- I came to learn how to write. I am hungry for any kinds of advices and writing tips and whatever that can teach me how to write. English is not my native language, and I admit that I am not capable of writing a novel in English at the time being. Anyway, the only thing now I focus on is to learn to make a decent story out of what I have got at hand. Just a 100% beginner.

Thanks for accepting me as a member. And by the way, thanks for Pen who lend a hand when I first stepped in this forum. See you guys/gals around.

Welcome Bricklane. For English not being your native laguage, you're wielding it pretty sufficiently. More so than lots on the forum. A-heh. Anyway, welcome to the forum.

Nickie is an unknown quantity at this point
Hi there Bricklane, and welcome to the forums. I'm not a native English speaker myself. Where are you from? I'm from Belgium, so my main language is Flemish (Dutch).

Smile Thank-you-post

Carson:
Thanks. I will try hard to step up from sufficiency to excellency. hehe.

Nickie:
My first language is mandarin. Where I am from? Emm, I'd like to keep it as a secret.

Ross:
You really have that Brick lane in Britain?! How is it like? Any special buildings on that street? Fashionable? So, it is something like that well-known 5th Avenue in the US?

<weather report: minus 23 degrees and windchill is minus 16>
