Hi everybody!
My name is Debra, and I'm a full time Video Editor and work few shifts a week as a server. I don't really have too much time on my hands, as you can see, but I lately came to the realization that I had stopped doing things for me. I am like any normal single girl my age, but going to hang out with my friends at bars has grown tiresome and I need some fulfillment.
One week ago I was organizing a drawer in my bedroom when I came across a folder that my parents had made for me when I was going through all of my creative writing courses in college. While I was away, I would email them a copy of any work that I wrote for their input, and my mother had lovingly printed every story that they particularly thought showed my natural talent, and binded them for me, like my own (homemade) published collection of short stories. When I started reading through them, I remembered how much I loved writing, and the sense of accomplishment and pride I would have when someone told me the work was good.
This is why I decided to join a forum like this. I hope that I can not only help others with their struggle to become a writer, but to receive some assistance from other talented writers. It has been awhile for me, and I want to again be as dedicated and diligent as I was before, and would love constructive criticism from anyone that is willing to give it! I'm really excited to start this new chapter in my writing career, and with your help, I hope to succeed and help you to become published as well!

I edit commercials for online and television employment ads...kind of hard to explain, and even more boring to do, but the people are great and i actually do have a job in my field which is more than i could ask for!!! thanks for asking  |
