Oops, I got to apologize for misspelling Nickie's name...
Maia, thanks to you too for the welcome...I come from the Chippewa-Cree
tribe in Rocky Boy, Montana...This is the only tribe of its kind, seriously.
The Cree tribe left the country around the turn of the century out of Mt.
They were starving and became nomadic following the food sources, any
way, not sure what year but, they were forced back to the US and merged
with Chippewa...My father found my mother during the Korean War, prior to
being shipped out...Daddy was from Mississippi, slowly my father moved us
south, he was nomadic himself, he followed work...I have been here in
Alabama since 1972...
About Mama, she visits often, I feel her presence, sometimes just in the
wind, Mother could make the wind blow on whimsy, she could move clouds
when no wind was present, she taught me that and told anyone could move
and wind if they concentrated and had faith that they could. She advised
"never play with the rain" it could get out of hand. My mother visits me, I
believe because, we became very close in her passing time, she and I had
not spoke for 15 yrs, she trusted only me of her 6 children, I stayed by her
side and cared for her needs, the others just wanted to party and spend
her money...I ask Mother to watch after my children, and she does.
Mama passed on Nov 19, 2002. Oh there is much I will convey about what
was normal for this Indian child, I have a son that is incredibly gifted, he
is 7yrs...For now I will go...Talk again soon...LB
