Stepping into the absolute unknown
I believe I can write. I have lived a lifetime in the disquietude of my multipurpose mind. My mother allowed me to enter the world on the 29th of February (darn her!) with red hair! I would have had them put me back and reincubate the creature, unfortunately, she had had enough. That's what that nine months does to a person, I suppose. My own daughter, Zoe, missed that birthday by 4 1/2 hours. Of course that was my idea... I just held her in there as long as I could, til March 1, anyway.
Oh dear, I've gone a bit astray. Since I had never even heard the word 'blog' until a few months ago, and since I've never participated, I have no idea of how to proceed. I hope you have a 'how to' manual or something, for the mechanics of it. Or, you could just advise me, I guess, to go away and come again another day, not quite so ignorant.
Can't wait for your replies.

Hi there, Maddie Mae, and welcome to Writing Forums! You'll soon find out how everything works out here. Basicly, you can put up your work for reading and judging, but you are expected to offer some criticism as well on others' work.
If you have any question, you can always approach a mentor.

Hi Maddie, so um does your daughter have red hair, because if you think March is easy think again, ha. My wild child was born on March eleventh, and I just thank the stars above that she didn't come out with red hair because then I'd be hiding in a corner somewhere
Welcome aboard and have fun.
Kimberly

No red!
No red hair! I told the doc, "if 'it' has red hair, put 'it' back!" Fortunately, she is more than half native american and she had black curly hair. She also had fine, fuzzy brown hair all over her little forhead, down her back and arms, and even on her rather large ears. In fact, she kind of look like a baby gorilla. A very cute baby gorilla. Until the fourth grade she acted like one. Then outta nowhere.... She started taking baths, combing her hair...calling her girlfriends. Now, she abounds in grace and intelligence, stands straight, bathes her children - still...she did marry a pro-football player. I guess the attraction to animals was inevitable. Not that I could possibly understand such a magnetism.

you mean she turned out graceful!! There's hope for my youngest yet, ha. Right now I'm still dealing with the freaky multi coloured hair, pierced lip and bruised body from all the moshing she does come Friday night... Me thinks someone higher up has a weird sense of humour

Hope
Yes, certainly there is hope! Seriously, this girl gave me such grief! And now... All I can say is, she makes her father and me so proud! Despite many, many bad choices, this girl has finally chosen the path that was always meant for her. It serves her well. She gives back to her culture, her family, and her community in tangible ways. Her husband, Seattle Seahawk, and her fit like hand in glove, although sometimes the fit is tight or loose and they, of course, must adapt.
Anyway, don't we all find fun ways to express ourselves as we grow up?

welcome, maddie!... sorry i can't help you with blog info, since i don't bother with them... but, i 'm sure some here have them and can give you the help you need...
meanwhile, i hope you enjoy life on the forum... there are instructions posted somewhere on how to navigate and work the site, and those with 'mentor' under their names [to the left] can walk you through it, if you get stuck...
btw, my 3rd daughter of 6 had that fuzz, too... on the tops of her ears and her shoulders... thankfully, it all dropped/rubbed off by the time she was a year old, or so... funny thing is, she was the only one of the 7 who had it... and doesn't look like any of the others or her parents, either... if i didn't know better, i'd think i had played around! [hard to do, when you're preggers non-stop, for 4 years, w/ babies all over the place!]... sounds like your kids are grown and gone, as are mine... congratulations on having survived it all!
so, what are you writing?
love and hugs, maia
