Hello, Hello!
Hello Everyone
Obviously I am new to the board. I just wanted to drop in and introduce myself.
My name is Charlie (female) and I am 20, and live in Australia. I've just finished my second year of my Bachelor of Journalism at uni.
I one day hope to be a script writer, but at present my goal is to get some short stories published. I am also working on a novel (very early stages), which one day I hope will be picked up by a publisher.
I have no idea whether I have got what it takes to make it in the writing world, but I know that I have to try!
Well that's all from me for now.
Charlie

Hi Charlie, welcome to WF. You'll find a few aussies here so don't feel you're among strangers. Don't know if you've been on a writing forum, but we give & get comment & critique on each other's works, & enjoy the company of like minds.
I don't get into the scripts area much, but there are things here for everyone including just pure enjoyment
See you around the threads...

Thanks for the warm welcome guys!
I've already read some great stuff on the board, and am looking forward to seeing more! Everyone I've seen so far has such a knack for writing!
I will be working on some short stories over the next few days. I'll post them up when they're done .

welcome, charlie!... i'm sure you'll like it here... the folks are friendly and helpful and you've plenty of company from oz... the scripts/screenplay section isn't very busy, so you'll be a welcome addition, when you get around to screenwriting [or, whatevery kind of scripts you want to write]... i work with a lot of aspiring screenwriters and playwrights, so i'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with...
love and hugs, maia

Welcome, glad to have you join us. What genres of writing do you prefer?

I'm a bit of a sap! I sort of like mainstreem and romance.
