Just wanted to say hello and that I am brand spanking new in this world so I ask you to please bear with me.

After working fulltime since I was old enough, I find myself at home playing wife, mom and grandma. After using the extra time to feed my brain learning web design, I have decided to try and accomplish a dream I have had for some time. I am in the midst of writing my first book and must admit, very lost in the sea of publishing, self publishing, etc. websites out there. I come to you on my knees begging for help and good advice. (ha-ha)

I also would like to add that I am looking forward to discussing my interests with other who have the same and am more than willing to give any assistance I possibly can as well.

I thought I would do a little research before getting too far in to prevent my having to re-do or rework something in a big way that I had already done. Seems I'm learning more about margins/book size, pfd files and saving as certain page size and wheeeewwwwww. And I thought I was just going to write a book. haha

Oh well, just do a free fall. It's the only way to go. haha

Hello ljmyers, and welcome to Writing Forums!

Yes, isn't it lovely to just be able to fulfil your dreams? I only became serious about writing when I was 45 (had written all my life, but never considered publication). Since then, I've gone a long way and have learned a lot about the publishing industry. So much that I have decided to start up my own publishing house come next year. I'l like to offer a chance to those who are not accepted by the big houses and hope to be able to discover this great talent.... someone like JK Rowling, or Pieter Aspe in my country.
