Hi Everyone!

Well, I kind of went about this backwards and made a critique and a submission before introducing myself, but I hope you all won't mind.

My name is Sammi, if you couldn't guess by my username, and I am delighted to have found such a wonderful forum to read unpublished work, and to get my own out there for critique and reviews.

I love to write, as do you all, I'm sure, and mostly have stayed in the memoir genre, although everyonce in awhile I venture out. I love to experiment with words, and I consider it my life's mission as a writer to try to convey my emotions so that another can understand it. I find it thoroughly amazing how one word means one thing to someone, and then something entirely different to another, and I'm always left wondering if there is any way to be precise! Probably not, but it makes for interesting experiment in wordplay and plenty of bouts of frustration.

I'm also an avid reader, although right now I am bogged down by Jordan's Knife of Dreams. And to make this shorter than I would usually, I'll end by simply saying I'm obsessed with culture and language, and wish life were just long enough to see everything there is to see in this world.

Ta la's!
Sammi.

Welcome to the forum SammiM. I hope you like it here.

Do you write about other cultures and language in your memoirs?

If you have any questions feel free to PM a mentor.

Welcome to the forums Sammi! Might that be short for Samantha? Just a question, you don't have to answer if you don't want to. I for one think that it's fine that you chose to look around and post before introducing yourself. I did it myself and trust me. It took about two days of posting and looking around before I introduced myself.
