Hi Everyone
Hi everyone,
i'm new to this forum and i just wanted to post a thread so that i could pick up a few writing tips (i'm only 13). I'm writing a sci fi novel and i'm up to 10 000 words. There's just a few things i want to ask:

1. I've been going through the novel with only a rough idea of what's going to happen (i mean really rough, like a one sentence explanation). is it wise to plan everything that's going to happen before i write anything else?

2. I was just wondering what the average word count is for a novel. I'm not overly worried, but i think i might be rushing my novel just a bit (a lot of stuff's happened in the first 10 000 words)

3. Any other tips concerning sci fi writing would be really appreciated.

Sorry I can't help you with your questions. Maybe try asking these questions in the Writing Tips and Advice Forum. I think you will get alot of advice there.

it's hard to explain it, but basically there are some (no name yet) 'super' humans that are exactly like real humans and that try to destroy a city internally. I know it isn't exactly 'original' but if you ever read it you'll realise that it's actually pretty unique.
