Introducing myself

Hey, everybody. Figured I'd go ahead and introduce myself. My name is Tyler (obviously) and I'm a 17 year old Junior in High School. For the most part I read fiction, but it's not rare for me to pick up a nonfiction book either.

I've written a lot of different stories, but I seem to have a problem finishing them . I would be exaggerating if I said I've finished more than 20% of my stories. I signed up for WritingForums.com because I'd really love to get some critiques on my work. Hopefully by coming here I can improve my writing.

Hello! Yeah doing research and spending time at writing forums is a good way to improve your craft. I used to have a short attention span, especially when writing fiction. (never finished, or took forever in finishing something)

Sometimes I even think writing nonfiction for a while is good practice before going into fiction.

Hi there, Tyler, and welcome to the forums! Yes, having your pieces critiqued is certainly a good way to start.

Welcome, Tyler. The name's John. I have the same problem you do. I have a stack of unfinished stories about eight inches thick sitting in my dresser. Nothin' wrong with that, I hope that one day I'll be able to pick one of them up and finish it. Anyway, I look forward to offering whatever input I can.

Later.

John
