...oh, okay, I'll come out of my shell.
I'm Raechel, and I'm seventeen years old. I've been writing since I was in junior high; I can vividly remember myself and a few other girls sitting in the corner during studyhall and writing "stories". They were pretty crude. Well, theirs were, mine was about a girl with a cracked out mom and how she had to cope. Anyyyway....
I wrote from 'bout seventh grade 'til ninth grade. I'd opt to stay home from school related activities so I could sit on the computer and write. My sophmore and junior year were not filled with writing, sadly. I did a few short pieces, and dabbled in poetry, but now that I'm a senior in highschool, my love for writing has returned from it's hiding place.
Most exciting, actually.
I don't have anything that I'm currently working on; I'm busy(or rather, was busy) filling applications out and trying to find enough time to sleep. I will be competing in NaNoWrimo(
http://www.nanowrimo.org), which spurred me into the dream of being published. Well, NaNoWriMo returned that dream to me. I have the plot and MC swirling around in my head, and I'm itching to write.
Besides writing, I'm an avid reader, and I also enjoy riding horses. The best day, for me, would be to be at the barn, under a nice big tree, reading and writing when a thought comes to me. I also enjoy working as a hostess at Applebee's, and when we can find the time, I
love to hang out with my boyfriend/best friend.
So, that's me, in a nutshell. Or rather, out of my shell. Whatever. It's me. I'm glad to be here!
