Been talking with Chris Miller on another forum so I figured it's time to sign up here.
I've been writing for a few years, starting off in computer game related fan fic. They say you've got to write 500,000 words of rubbish before you start getting good, right?
That led me into doing creative writing degree course part time at the University I work at.
Nothing published (outside of the first volume of a sci-fi trilogy bundled in with someone else's self-publishing) as yet. Supposedly, a german sci-fi novel I was asked to rewrite (from a mess of translated chapters of quality ranging from competent to 'did a machine do this for crying out loud!?') is coming out sometime soon. (I bet the cover credit I was promised ain't there though, cynic that I am.)
There's a lot of good stuff in the Short Story section, it's daunting. I'll try and post comments. I'm a much better critic than I am a writer unfortunately.
I write short stories and I'm working on a fantasy novel (like every third person on the planet.)
