Beginnings.....

It is late at night and I just can’t sleep, two hundred and fifty channels and nothing to watch. I can’t turn the music up, because the neighbors will freak and if it can’t be loud, what’s the use of turning it on. I loaned my Xbox to a friend for her birthday, (to keep the boys corralled) and she never brought it back. Maybe I should eat something, but I really am not very hungry and besides, the kitchen is a big hassle, bright lights and messes. I’m restless, but if I wander the streets at this hour, I am just looking for trouble, besides it isn’t that I’m not tired, I simply am not sleepy.

So I pull up the chair, flip on the power button and begin to maneuver my way down the super-highway. But man, this is way boring. So I take the next off-ramp and check out the street scene, but it’s the same on every corner and I soon grow impatient. Just when I am about to shutdown, I perceive, out of the corner of my eye, a narrow alleyway, almost un-noticeable and something, somewhere down there, begins to beckon me. My curiosity takes over and I yield to its call. I turn the corner and discover, to my amazement, a world of creativity and wonder, where I am free to express myself, in the company of others…others who share the same passion for the written word.

I can’t tell you how good it is to meet you all.

Words are toys and I like to play.

Well, if your post is any indication, you're going to be a welcome addition to the forums. Nice intro!

Plenty here to see & do, it runs at odd hours of the night as different time zones have their effect, & you can get anything from an argument to plaudits for clever work acroos the topics, discuss anything from God to latest news, work or just have some fun.

Enjoy.
