A little backwards - This is a goodbye.

I'm leaving. Thanks to everyone who read my story, or even had anything to say (pretty much noone. Well, actually it was exactly noone, so thanks to them). I thought that when I came here I would find the support I need to make it in this cut throat business, but I don't know anymore. If noone on a bloody forum can read a few hundred words and leave a piece of constructive (or not) criticism, why should I even bother? I would have even accepted utter rejection, but a complete lack of response bothered me. So I'm done. Noone gives me feedback anymore anywhere. So to all of you who have your little projects your working on, good luck.

To the rest of you, -whatever-

sorry

as a newbie who joined only yesterday I can only say sorry that I didn't read your piece (yet). But, I'd love to, if that would make you return to this forum. This looks to me like a good place to be. Perhaps you should give it some more time?

Kimberly Bird is an unknown quantity at this point
Hi Dirkin, I wish you would reconsider. I have gone through your writings and see you have posted them together, which would make sense if one was reading the full length, but I think it discourages people from reading it. Why not give it a shot with just sending one chapter out.

I haven't been on the forum too much of late, but if you repost one I'd read it, or you could mail it to me and I will read it.

I hope you don't leave.

Kimberly

Hey Dirkin,
I'd be willing to read your piece. But since this place is so big I tend to stay in short stories forum.

Just PM and give me a link to your story.
I think if you posted in the fiction section that it is kind of dead there. Maybe a reason for the lack of replys.

Hey Dirkin,
I just looked at your story, and if you're still around I will get to reading and critqueing it.

I agree with Kimberly that you should post each chapter separately.
Also I think you should try not to post the whole thing in itlalics. Unless there is a good reason becuase it is hard on my eyes and probably others.

another [the main?] problem is that you posted it all in italics, which are murder on the eyes... i don't usually crit novels, so didn't even see that post till i just now went to find it...

it's too bad you didn't just post a message asking why no one was commenting, instead of bailing out, dirkin... heeding the suggestions made here, would surely have resulted in you getting the feedback you sought...

hopefully, you'll adjust your post to readable proportions/form and give the nice folks here another chance...

love and hugs, maia
