A beginner with a lot of hope

Hi!
I'm an eager novice, looking forward to this forum with a lot of enthusiasm. My name is Mary Sylver, and I'm African.

Maybe it's a cliche, but I always believe in a way out if there's a way in. My writing life is sort of like this (not literally). I came in, and I'm quite stuck and in a huge rut. I'm still immured to the charm of writing, and I want to break through my psychological blocks through this site. I want to find a way out. I hope you guys help!

Nice meeting you all.

Hi Mary, Welcome to WF. If there's anything can shake you out of normal life & into the soul-eating life of a writer, you'll find it somewhere here.

Where in Africa are you from?

Also, did you miss an 'r' in your username? Or does 'bownie' mean something?

Welcome Welcome Welcome
Glad to have you here
As for your mental blocks, all I can suggest is a book called "100 Ways to Improve Your Writing", by Gary Provost
It has some things in there that might help
Anyway, good luck: D
