I've perused the site awhile
And I decided to join. I've been looking for a decent forum atmosphere to discuss anything to do with the writers craft. In way of introduction, I'm a closet writer and try to divert attention elsewhere, especially when my "friends" are around, but I always return to writing and getting lost in my own head. I adore words in general, one of my favorite possestions is my unabridged english dictionary. I've been taking some classes that have opened my eyes on writing, so basically I'm looking for some examples, mentors, and a great community.

Then Welcome indeed to WF. You should find us a convivial bunch & there's plenty to get involved with.

As you will have found, there's places for serious work & some for fun. Be cautious of the debates; things can get heated in there, but everywhere else you'll find caring people with constructive advice.

Don't overlook your contribution to others work in providing comment & as a place to learn; by critiquing other's work you can learn as much or more than just getting your own work commented on.

Mentors are available for questions & advice about the site, so feel free to contact one with questions.
