New here

Hey all. Name's Mark. Hopefully, I'll get a chance to get to know many of you through my various postings. I come from a newspaper writing background and am completely new to writing fiction. Actually, never wrote a story outside of covering a news event for my newspaper in my life.

So far, I'm really liking it.

That's one of the reason's I joined. I wanted to get imput on what I'm working on. It's a fantasy novel called "The Blossomers" about a 13-year-old girl named Lily Blossomer that finds out she isn't exactly who she thinks she is. Sounds kind of typical, but I say more, i fear i will tell too much of the plot.

I posted the beginning of the story under the critique area. Please check it out. In the meantime I will continue writing, check out what others are writing and post more of the stuff I am working on.

Thanks!

Mark

Unfortunately that doesn't necessarily imply that you've never written fiction

Pardon my cynicism.

Welcome to WF. Post lots.

Damn, talia took the line about newspapers & fiction. So welcome Mark.

You're in the right place to get your work critiqued. I'll see you around the posts.
