I've actually been posting in the fiction forum for a whole 25 posts, but thought I would finally get around to introducing myself.

I'm a Libra, I like moonlit walks and red wine, I - oops - wrong forum.

Ok, I'm not a comedian.

I write non-fiction for a living (droll, bland, sanitized non-fiction too), but I aspire to sit around and smoke cigars, writing fiction and in general be really pleased with myself.

To sum up I came over to this forum in order to be around other writers. That's it! Everyone so far has been great, I'm happy to read some of the great stuff that has been posted here, and appreciate the advice everyone is giving.

Thanks you guys! Hey, this is the first forum where my nickname got its own nickname. Kinda cool!! LOL

I write for Big Brother. That's right, the U.S. Government. No, I'm not writing brochures for how to get a Social Security card or something. (thank God). I'm fortunate at least to be the spokesperson for a rescue unit and mainly my writing documents what they are doing. I also write speeches, talk to the press, etc. So my work is not without some fulfillment based on our job, but I would prefer to stay up writing novels till 3 am my entire life. (I'm really a night owl at heart). ONE DAY....!!!

glad to see you like your nick-nickname, L9!... sounds kinda bondish, doncha think?

as for your work and your writing, i'm guessing there's plenty of grist for a novelist's mill in the experiences you've been chronicling!... should keep you busy and outa trouble for the next 50 years or so, right?...
