Hi... and something weird I noticed.

First off, let me deal with the "hi" part.

My name is Luca (I kid you not) and got wind of this forum by way of a kind poster on the IMDb forums. The first digit in my age has just turned to a two, and I've been working on this manuscript for a couple of years. It's still very much a work in progress at about 60,000 words. It's trying to be a fantasy adventure with some laughs thrown in for good measure. I'm desperate for feedback, as friends and family are all well and good, but they're not exactly objective, you know?

Second, or the "something weird" part. While registering, I was browsing the site's avatar-galleries and noticed that the folder "Toons" is filled almost exclusively with cropped headshots of pornographic parody art of said toon characters. Look at their facial expressions, you'll see there's something wrong there.

Completely stepping away from that awkward topic... glad to be here, and hope to make some new friends!

Hello and welcome to WF! I never noticed that avatar thing before. It must take a certain kind of mind to see them that way.

I hope you have an enjoyable time here. See you around.

Actually, it's true.

One pic of Daphne, for example, is done by the quite well-known (in, ahem, those sort of circles) parody artist Jab.

No, really.

I even recognize some of the artists. But I guess that still doesn't say very good things about me, does it?

Hahaha! I've never been into the avatars section here (I made my own... can you tell? ), but I'm fairly sure that all the avatars in the list are from freely-downloadable sets.

Now you've put a picture in my head of Chris carefully going through a whole set of dodgy pictures, cropping them to be tasteful. Hmmm.... naah . But the scary thing is, if you're right about those avatars, that there is someone out there who really did do that. That's just plain freaky.

Anyway, welcome to the forum. It sounds like you're quite committed to your story, so I'm sure you'll feel right at home here. Looking forward to seeing you around the site

I apologise for the double posting.

But you are a fan of Commando, ergo you are an awesome human being .

And no, actually Luca is a boy's name. I think girls wouldn't recognize cartoon porn quite so fast. Or else I'm hanging with the wrong girls.

I'm not really a fan of commando. I just thought that that movie was really funny.

I know nothing of such things...

*clears throat*
But, I can also help with that manuscript hit the fiction section and post it in smaller segments (maybe 2000-3000 words) or just your chapters and I'll be happy to take a look.
But, be sure to look around at others work (mostly mine) And coment on that you get what you give in these parts my friend.
