There is always a proper time.

During the time that I have been writing prose and poetry, there have been moments of self-doubt when the sky has seemed dark and unforgiving. Sometimes during those storms I have expected sun and received only cold rain. Those were instances when I reached deeply into my haversack and pulled out the fortitude to produce some of my best work. Perhaps a writer needs to experience the worst in order to have a handle on expression. Perhaps the very soul of expression is born in the depths of misery. Nevertheless, a forum is always needed for a writer to breath.

Ah! A new member with a keen eye for metaphor! You'll fit in nicely here!

I look forward to reading your work. Just a little tip--if you comment on the work of others, they'll often return the favor, getting more resonses for your own work.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask myself or another mentor; we'd be more than happy to help you.

Welcome to the forums! I hope you enjoy your time here!
