*witty intro title here*

Hello everybody. This seems like a pretty sweet writing community so I thought I would join. I am a new writer (but extensive reader). My reading habits span all genre from sci-fi to philosophy to the classics. I've been a reader all my life and so a month ago I decided to try my hand at writing a novel. In the last month I have started to develop a concept and setting. I probably will create many short stories and plots and characters within my concept/setting to get used to writing in it before I actually begin my feeble attempt at writing a book. I'll spare you any other boring details right now... I need to go find a decent avatar.

It is kinda hard to classify, kind of a mix between future-fiction and fantasy I guess. After I get more done on the setting and such, I need to get it copyrighted and then I will be willing to show it to people.
