Well, it is easiest to get feedback if you comment on the work of others and try to be helpful where you can. Most members return the favor. Participating in the Lounge, Word Games, and Writing Challenge will help people get to know you and it might lead to them checking out your writing.

Whatever you do, please try to add your work at a reasonable pace, like one or two pieces of writing a day. It is best if you comment on the work of at least three other people for every piece of writing that you post.

Did this help or do you still have some questions?

--DM--

Edit: One more thing... You should wait to post more of your writing until after you have received a comment or two. If no one has replied after a couple of days, you can try again with something else or contact someone who can help you. While you are waiting for comments, you should be posting on other members’ writing and in any discussions, challenges, or games that interest you.

Hello and welcome to the forums, Gordon!

Glad that you joined us. You'll find plenty of people here more than willing to help you and to discuss our craft. You're so right, this is the hardest of crafts, but also likely the most enjoyable. I look forward to seeing you on the forums. Have fun!
