My New Teddy Bear, Aphra Behn Bear, and I - Say "Hello!

Dear All,

My name is Julie Jordan Scott - and my glorious purply-black bear I rescued from a bin at Salvation Army this weekend is named for the first English woman professional writer.

You can find more about here at the link below - and I hope you will read on before you do to learn more about me....

http://www.lit-arts.net/Behn/begin-ab.htm

I am a life coach and writer based in Bakersfield, California. I most frequently write creative non-fiction in the personal growth and spirituality arenas. I am also a poet and am now dabbling in writing for the stage... an outgrowth of my personal stage renaissance in 2004.

I also teach writing to "non-writers" who seem to universally become really productive writers. That has been incredibly affirming.

I am finishing up several books... and am committed to FINISHING them in 2005. I have learned from the opening/closing of plays that while the finishing is bittersweet - it creates openings for "the next thing."

I am really looking forward to creating, learning, growing and getting to know each of you.

With Passionate Gratitude,

Julie Jordan Scott
(and Aphra Behn Bear)

What does a life coach do? Do you focus on offense or defense? Or perhaps special teams...

My life coaching focuses on Special Teams - of the creative sort - kind of in a Zen way......

Neither offense nor defense, rather observing, focusing on the breath..... (and naturally removing commas from where they do not belong......)

Isn't it just a little disconcertig that your teddy bear speaks to you?

Of course it'd be more disconcerting if someone had put a real purple bear in a salvaltion army bin. That's just cruel.

Talia - I delight in hearing from my Aphra Behn bear - perhaps it is the dramatist in me that imbues an unusual Teddy Bear with the personality traits I imagine from a relatively unknown, barrier breaking author.

Aeryn, thank you for the welcome - I appreciate it.

With Passionate Gratitude,

Julie Jordan Scott
