New here

Well, not a new reader, but a new poster.

I am 35. I've written one fiction novel that I did nothing with. I am actually scared to pull that one out of my old computer that sits in the darkness of my attic.

I have completed a memoir, it is a humorous look at my childhood. It is out to agents now.

Now I am on chapter 11 of a fiction novel. The feedback I have received on my website has been good. I'm almost scared to post any of it here for a critique, the others that gave opinions were not writers, from what I can tell.

Anyway, hope to offer some advice...........from a novice.
Michelle

Welcome to the forums, and I look forward to seeing some of your work. Don't be scared to post, we've all felt the same, I'm sure. I know I felt sh*t scared the first time I ever submitted a piece of work for critiques. Nothing to fear, honestly.

Good luck,
Omni

Which is of course why you should be posting it here. We'll be gentle

Welcome to the forum.

You're avatar is scaring me. There's someone with the exact same one at LitOrg, and I'm going to get you so confused...
Glad you're around.

If I walked around with a red hat on my face and my chest was as bony, I could possibly pass as this chick, that's why I picked it.

Welcome! I don't think you need to be scared of criticism -- in the end, it can only help you improve. Can't wait to read some of your stuff.

Welcome to the forums Michelle!

I was scared to death the first time I posted, but I quickly found that I had nothing to fear. This place is filled with people that are truely glad to help one another. That is why I like this place so much. I look forward to reading some of your work. I may just have to sneak a look at your website. Enjoy and have fun. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.
