Greetings
Greetings Writingfourms members. My name is AcrewTS, and I will be involved mainly in the poetry forum. I am not exactly what you call a prolific writer - I am too obsessive-compulsive for that. However, if you want poetry critique on everything from metaphor to punctuation, I'm the guy to ask.
A question: are honest critiques accepted on the Poetry forum? Would members likely get angry at me for offering suggestions (ranging from scrap the entire idea to add a period)? I will not make critiques unless I am sure not to offend anyone too terribly much, but I would like to help out many a writer that I have seen here.
Anyway, thank y'all for your time, and I hope to see you frequently on the boards.

Hi Acrew, welcome to the forums. Your critique I'm sure will help a lot of people, just be careful not to get too extreme unless you know that person can handle it. There are many new writers on here that are still sensitive, but there are also many experienced ones that can handle blunt advice. And the only way to get to know your fellow writers is by hopping right in and participating.
Best of luck with your writings, see you around the forum.
Kimberly

Welcome to the forums AcrewTS! =] Most people can handle a little blunt critique. I prefer it myself! =]

Welcome, and I think we can speak for most of us when I say that we're not here to show off our work, but to receive criticism. Hope to see some of your writing soon, too!

Well, I have begun to test the waters with my critiques. However, if anyone has a problem with my critiques, please tell me and I will cease and desist.
Thanks all

Welcome to the forums AcrewTs! I'm sure that there are many members that will value your critiques. As already stated, there are new writers that are still sensitive, so they may not be able to handle the bluntness that the more experienced are looking for. You'll be able to decide who can and who can't, I'm sure. Have fun and enjoy your stay.
