New to the site, Old to the uh, you know, the 'desire'

hi hi hi there, yeah, im new to this place, uh, been writing seriously for almost three years now, and been thinking about being a writer for even more...

mostly what comes out of me is poetry. funny, 'cause i always hated poetry when growing up. originally, my plan was to be a filmmaker and for my whole teenage life i ate drank and slept film. i wanted to be able to tell original stories in spectacular ways, visually. i went to two film schools, and dropped out of both of them! and recently fell out of love with film, after like 17 years of love for filmmaking etc... i recently spent around four thousand dollars on film equipment to make a film about my difficulties in life, mostly about paranoia... a year later and devoting all my free time to writing poetry! ahhh!

i grew up loving films, i didnt read much, but recently ive been picking up about a book a month. i like william s burroughs, hunter s thompson, jd salinger, gregory corso, frank o'hara, uh james joyce, and starting to branch out to the more popular bestsellers like king and dan brown... i am currently working on a novel, i like to write on my eMac, my gateway laptop, a little memo pad, a bigger pad, and a manual typewriter, phew!

well, i have a lottttttt of questions, and would like to share my love for the craft and stories and feelings, oh boy, mushy mushy stuff. okay, thanks, oh and im 23!

Cool. Writing and filmmaking are the greatest art forms, to my mind.

Welcome to the forum!
