Hi, everyone! I enjoy writing, writing from my heart. I've never shared any of it with anyone because it just reveals too much of me. I hope that by sharing my thoughts with the rest of you, that I can become more comfortable about discussing what I've written. Maybe what i've written is sheer nonsense, and I'm the only one who thinks it has value. Let me know what you think.

I would like to discuss writing more, in the sense of discussing the "underlining meanings" if you will. I not sure exactly how to go about doing this, so please don't think i'm dumb. I would like to do this with people in person, but it's hard, and i'm not sure, exactly, why.

I hope to get to know many of you.

Sincerely,

KayLeeTah

Hi KayLeeTah

I used to be totally petrified of showing my writing to anyone too. It took a really awful English teacher who tried to crush my writing for me to start showing it to other people. Writing can be very naked, but like any art, it can be really ambiguous too. You see yourself in it because you wrote it, but people will see--to some extent--what they want to see.

I love talking about writing; the mechanics, the meaning, the bits of personal philosophy that get incorporated... This can be a great medium for getting to know writers and being comfortable with your own writing without dealing with the trauma/drama of someone shouting you down. Welcome and well come.

Don't be shy! Writing, as a means of expression, is entirely wasted if you don't share it with others. What use is speaking when you're alone in the dark? In a way, writing can make us vulnerable, but it also offers an opportunity to touch the hearts and minds of others.

Lighten up! You're among friends, and you are definitely not dumb. I hope sharing your work here helps you to become more comfortable with discussing it.

Welcome to the forums! I look forward to reading your work!
