I'm a newbie ont he site but a bit of a veteran writer- do I just post some writing and await feedback? is there any real way to go about htis whole forum business...I'd apreciate some advice

Welcome to the forums In general, this whole writing forum thing isn't all that complicated. Introducing yourself is always a good start. After that, yeah, just post your work in the Critique and Advice or Short Stories or Poetry or Fiction or Non-Fiction sections, and wait for feedback. Also, go check out what others have written, and post some feedback yourself. After that, it's generally a good idea to let the forumites get an idea of who you are, so go post some in the Lounge or in Word Games. Above all, enjoy yourself

Welcome to the forums! For every new story or poem you post, you should comment on the work of at least three other members. As Leapord said, you really should go post in the Lounge and in Word Games so we can get to know you better. Also, go check out this thread. If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask.
