Hello from Northern Ontario, Canada

I can't believe I never found this forum before!

My name is Bruce Thomas and I live near Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. I'm 40 years old and have retired from working. Fifteen years managing two hotels was enough! Over the years, people have told me I'm a good writer so I decided to give it a shot, just for the fun of it.

I live in the country and love the outdoors....cottage life, canoing, swimming, hiking through the forest etc. I've been married for 21 years and have 2 daughters. The oldest is married and has 1 child (I'm a grandpa!!) and the youngest has just graduated from university. They both live in Ottawa.

My writing project for the next year is a book I call "CABINACK"....a collection of short stories centred on two friends who buy a cottage together. The stories are their adventures and comic misadventures in and around the camp. The stories are family oriented and follow the style of a famous but forgotten Canadian author (Gregory Clark) who wrote in the 1930's through the 1950's.

Well, I guess that's all I have to say about me....for now anyway
Nice to meet you all.
Bruce Thomas

Welcome to the forums Rayhi!

Your book sounds pretty cool, as I am somewhat of an outdoors type. I look forward to seeing some of your writing. I think you will really like it here!

Have fun and hope to see you around!
