Greetings and Salutations
Okay, first post is always the introduction so here goes.
My name is Oz (No really, it is. Say's so on my driver's license and everything. ) I'm a writer and special effects artist living in Orlando Florida, home of the giant theme park rat. I specialize in screenplays but also try and pen the occasional novel on the side.
In my 30-plus years I have lived a life that others can only fear. I was born to a family of psychotic hillbillies, have been investigated by the FBI, got shot at, stabbed, set on fire, and had a grave stone collapse on me. I have been in a bizarre love triangle involving a Catholic Nun and a practicing Witch. Wound up marrying both of them sequentially. My highschool sweetheart was a black girl with an outrageous redneck accent who's family were all blue-eyed, blonde-haired Germans (She stands by her claim that she was not adopted.) My life, in short, has been a study in absurdity. It should therefore come as no surprise that I have fallen to writing comedy, seeing as I have so much fertile ground on which to start.
Well, that's me. And so is the avatar. If you haven't figured it out by now, I'm not real big on being shy or hiding. Wouldn't work anyway since there isn't a closet built that can hold that many skeletons.
Toodles
Oz

Hi
Hi Oz,
I'm new here too, but thought I'd be the first one to welcome you. I've always been the kind of person to jump in with both feet. It's not always the best idea, but you're guaranteed to learn something one way or another. lol

I don't know. Jumping in with both feet always seemed to work well for me. Just look at what's happened to me when I...oh wait. Maybe that wasn't such a good idea after all.

Hmm, two posts and not a single laugh. Not good for a comedy writer.

Quick! Get this man 10 cc's of Monty Python and an IV drip of Mel Brooks. I think he's going into shock. Oops, too late. He died on stage.

Hehe, welcome to the forums Strangely enough, I have a friend named Oz. I think he's had a bit more of a normal life thus far though. Well enjoy your stay (may it be long and entertaining), and I look forward to reading your work

Welcome Oz! I'm trying to figure our if you will be writing a fiction on non-fiction suspense series. Hmmmmm........Sounds like your life (unless you're yanking our chains) has been, ah shall we say, quite interesting? I love Monty Python and Mel Brooks, and yes together they could be lethal. Nice to meet you OZ! Dana

Welcome to the forums! What an eventful life! o.o
Ah, your name reminds me of this poem by Percy Bysshe Shelley (my favorite!) : Ozymandias.
Enjoy your stay here. See you around. Nyao~! ^^

Glad to see you caught the poetry reference. Unfortunately I didn't catch the mispelling until after I registered.
