A few words about me
Hi all,
My name is Risto and I'm a writaholic...
*Hi, Risto*
So, something about me. I'm an 18-year-old boy from Lahti, Finland. If there's something I like, it's writing. I have always enjoyed reading, mostly fantasy novels. Some of my favourite authors include Tolkien, Le Guin, Pratchett and Adams.
Being a huge fan of fantasy I decided to start writing stories of my own. I found writing to be my "thing" and a couple of days ago I completed the first draft of my first novel. The coming months will show if I have the patiency needed to perfect my own writing. Whatever happens to that story I'll keep on writing something in the future. Today I found this forum and I'm looking forward to browsing it and finding some useful advice. Maybe I'll be able to share some of my advice, too.
Since I write mostly in Finnish I won't be posting too much of my work here for reviews. When I get to writing in English, I'm sure you'll have to cope with my stories then :)

Hi, Risto.
You've already completed a novel? Way to go; you're a step ahead of me! Good luck with that.
Oddly, I'm one of the few who doesn't particularly care for Tolkein. Ursula K. Leguin is cool, however. And . . . "Adams?" Do you mean Richard Adams? Watership Down was great, and if you haven't read that, it's highly suggested.
Well . . . welcome and all. I hope you find this place fun and useful.

Thanks for welcoming me, Aevin.
I meant Douglas "The Hitch Hiker's Guide" Adams. I wasn't aware of other Adams' out there so I didn't include his first name, my bad.
I'll take your word and take the other Adams, Richard, into consideration. Watership Down seems to be in my local library so maybe I'll give it a shot some day.
