8 Year itch finally getting scratched

Hi all

I am 34, Male and live in Nottingham, England (Sounds like a lonely hearts add... )

I have had an idea for a screenplay for about 8 years and although I have developed the story in my head I have never put it down on paper. I realise that even if I wrote an excellent screen play the chances of seeing it made are probably about as good as me winning the lottery....

So I have decided to do it as a novel, although the chances of it being published would still be very slim at least I could bore my friends and family.....

I have had a quick scan of the forums and they look excellent so can't wait to get stuck in. I have no recent experience of writing(Last time I was at school) so I am sure I will be asking plenty of silly questions...sorry

Cheers

Jay

Aevin is an unknown quantity at this point
Well, the old saying is "The only stupid question is the one you're too stupid to ask." Also, I think the people who publish are those who really care about writing enough to put in the effort. I like to be optimistic in thinking those with a passion for language, a strong imagination and the patience to use them will eventually make it.

Anyway, welcome!
