New in town...

Well, here I am. A guy from Kansas City, MO with a itch for writing, and too much internet access. I feel like I should have found this place years ago.

I've been writing almost as long as I could pick up a pen and put some thoughts together. It's like a therapy for me really. I write to release and get across things that spoken words sometimes can't. I've always done well in English classes, and just this semester I'm dreading the end of my writing classes for awhile. My computer science degree doesn't require any more of them, and I need to buckle down and get more done.

I'll continue to write, like I always have, and I'm soaking up every minute of the creative writing course I have now. I came looking for a place like this so I could get some feedback on a poem and a short story that I wrote for the class. I've posted them already in a paintball forum that I'm often lurking in, and they are some very intelligent and thoughtful people. Here, though, I feel that I can get some more, and possibly more involved, feedback. I also like reading other people's work, and off the start here you'll probably see many posts from me as I play catch-up for all the time this place has escaped my notice.

See you in the forums.

Spudley is an unknown quantity at this point
Welcome!

Nice to meet you; it's always good to greet a new member

You wouldn't have found this forum years ago because it's only been going for just shy of one year. But it's sister site Lit.org has been going much longer, and is every bit as active as the forums.

Anyway, I'll look forward to seeing you around the forums (and possibly Lit.org as well). Hope you have a lot of fun here
