Hello all
Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself--this seems like a pretty great community with lots of talent. I'm a stay-at-home mom of three (the oldest being 3), so any interaction with people who aren't going to quiz me on muppets and the primary colors is incredibly welcome! Writing's most definitely an escape for me--I just hope I'm not too horrible at it

What're the primary colors anyway?
Welcome to the Writingforums! You'll find that this community is full of people willing to help you if you know where to look. Just a warning: Some of the sections are really slow. The most popular sections here is the Poetry, since poems are short and easy to read, for the most part. Just be patient and hang on a bit- someone will read your work eventually Also, if you post something, remember to read and critique someone else's work. Think of it as community service
Happy posting!

Is it purple, orange, and green?
Are you a new mom? Congratulations!! I've been pretty much chained to the house for four years now, so I know where you're coming from As trying as it is, it's still pretty great. (Sorry--my little boy's been calling me that since his first experience with postseason baseball. But you can call me Heather if you want )
Congratulations again--how old's your baby, by the way?

Thank you, Admiral
Oh, and congratulations again on your soon-to-be new addition, Mom(!) . There are six of us in my immediate family with birthdays right at Christmas--my poor grandparents! (My husband's not so much a baby--he's 30 going on 14 )
