Welcome to the forums, catfishtuna! I love your username, by the way

You'll find that folks at the writingforums are more than willing to help out. However, I'll take the liberty of warning you that some sections are very slow-moving. I've heard tell that the poetry section is the most popular of all. A couple tips for maneuvering around the forums:

1) Don't give up if no one has responded to your story in the first couple days, especially if you've posted something long. Most of the time, it's just that it takes people more than one sitting to read through what you've written. Just be patient, and I'm sure someone will get back to you.

2) If you post something of your own, be sure to read and critique someone else's work- think of it as a community service. With everyone lending a hand in this, I'm sure our forums will just keep on growing.

Happy posting!

Greetings 'tuna!

This place thives on questions, so fire away - there's plenty of helpful folk here who will happily try to give you answers.

If you haven't already, you might also want to spend a little time browsing through the archives, because there's a lot of very good questions that have already been asked, and many good answers given. There's some excellent things have been said, and it's well worth the time to look around. It'll also give you an feel for the atmosphere in the forums, and help you get to know some of the folk that hang around here.

Anyway, I'll look forward to seeing some of your questions... and hopefully some of your writing too.

Hi Cat...I'm not much of a Cat person, but Love Tuna! Welcome to the forum, you're going to love it here. I can only concer with Spud's advice...the archives are a treasure trove for inspiration.

By the way, I'm always interested in how newcomers found us...did you just happen to stumble on to the site, or were you referred by others? (we should start a poll on that for future reference. Word of mouth is always the best advertisment.) In any event, you'll be glad you did!
