HELLO (Hello . . . hello)Did I hear an echo?
Hi. I'm new. I write all kinds of stuff. Poetry, editorials, humor, and
songs. I'm hoping to do this for a living some day . . . soon. Right now
I'm gainfully unemployed and living the blissful life of a domestic engineer/goddess. However, that doesn't pay the bills; however, my husband does. Bear with me as I try to figure out what all those symbols are and how to use them (like "Quote"). In the meantime, here is my
not-so-famous (yet) quote: "There are three sides to every story: Your
side, my side, and the REAL side."
Signed, Susan Sparks (did you know that "Susan Sparks." is a complete
sentence? It's also my maiden name.)

Tips
Holyoke: Where I'm at in the U.S. it's almost 3A.M. A hot flash got me out of bed and I decided to make myself useful and write another poem. I've been writing a plethora of humorous poetry lately, but I much prefer editorials. One of these days I'll get out of this ridiculously silly mood I'm in and write something serious. Maybe the reason I write so many different things is because I've been through a lot. I'm a person of extremes--a lot of good and a lot of bad. So I have a whole range of things to write about. When I feel really, really good I write humor. And when I feel a burden to try to fix something that just isn't right, I write an editorial. And having an open mind really helps a lot. When you have an open mind, thoughts just flow in. Albert Einstein said, "Imagination is more important than knowledge." I have a book of his quotations.

Garfield
Holyoke: I forgot to tell you--my daughter is a Garfield addict. She is amassing quite a collection. Her husband even bought her a signed orginal frame of one of Jim Davis' cartoons. Do you collect?

GARFIELD
Hollyoke: Maybe you should consider visiting the US. There is an absolute plethora and multitudinous mounds of Garfields here. The best places to find them are yard sales, antique stores, and thrift stores . . . the used ones, that is. New Garfield stuff is EVERYWHERE. I bet I've spent over $500 for Garfield . . . so far. Oh flea markets are a great place to find them also.

Garfield
Hollyoke: Have you tried Ebay? They've probably got tons of Garfield stuff there; don't have to come to the U.S.; you can have the U.S. come to you via mail, Fedex whatever. Don't know how high the shipping would be, but I know it would be A LOT cheaper than a round-trip ticket. Talk to ya later. Susan
