Greetings All

Greetings all.

I am Allusearna Wolf, also known as Allusearna Dainyea Datz, Talathena Elvira and Talathena Elvira Wolf. Please feel free to just call me Allu if Allusearna’s too much. Please note, however, that Allusearna is pronounced A-LOO-see-ARE-na. Please note, ARE-na, not ANNA, that is one of my pet peeves, so best get it straight first, and also stops people calling me All-oo… * sigh *

I will be 18 this midsummer and live in Australia’s Sunshine State and have done so for only the past year an a bit. I grew up half wild in a semi-rural part of New Zealand. I liked it there, we had hills and native Kiwi bush and a shop and a school (which served as everything from local pool, park to public meeting place. Oh, and occasionally a school) After spending the first nine years of my life running wild I was sent, along with my sister, to an all girl’s school almost a hour’s bus ride away. Here we had to wear shoes and uniforms and I had to learn how to sit properly like a lady so as I wouldn’t crinkle my pinafore apron. This mixed background had helped make who I am, and make me realise what I truly value, and believe it is important for people who don’t know me to know, so that they understand where I am coming from at times.
I suppose here I should also say something about my love for the written word, this being a writing forum and all.

I have love reading and writing all my life, and yes, I mean ALL of it. I can remember no time when I couldn’t read or write. As the local shop sold no books, before I started school I was limited to the books at home. My elder sister had some books, but most of our books were located in my parent’s library/study. Not realising that the books were supposedly ‘too old’ for me, I ate up Enid Blyton, Ronal Dale (however you spell his name), then moved on to Dickens, LOTR (which I finished for the first time at age 11) Bronte, I even looked at reading our encyclopaedias, but decided against it. As a child I loved the ‘Old fashioned children’s stories’, like The railway children, but since I read LOTR I have been more into fantasy (such as Robin Hobb, the current author I am reading) as for writing, I have always over to write. I started a diary at age nine, and write in her every single day. I have always written stories, but until recently I never put them on paper. I would write them in my head, sometimes assuming the characters at night and role-paying my storied until I fell asleep and they assumed my dreams. My current project is actually a novel, loosely based on these unwritten stories.

Well, that’s me. Once again I’ve written far more than I meant to. I always do, but I did only mean to write a line, or two. Now I must stop procrastinating and return to my essay I’m supposed to be writing on the Edict of Milan…

Aha! Sir Joel is confessing! Full of remorse from his recent bout of Ozmosis. Yes, I would have to agree that you already sound familiar. Welcome to you. I loved Enid Blighton and I think it's Roald Dahl. Someone will correct me if I am wrong

Always better to err on the side of too much than too little.

hey hollyoake!
the weather? well, actually it's been raining! for FOUR DAYS!
it's crazy! We’ve had no real rain since midsummer, and now we have four days of rain! Two storm in two days too. The rain is good, because we have major water shortages and the farmers need it, but one of the storms knocked down my favorite tree at the base and broke a Rainbow lorikeet egg
what about where you are?
