Hi

Hello everyone. I'm 18 years old and I love to write. I have been writing for years but no one will ever give me some good advice like, "I can't understand this part right here", no it's always stuff like, "Nice job", and that's it. That's why I'm here. For some real help.

I like to write anything. Fantasy, poetry, mystery, and short stories. The only thing I don't write about is Sci-Fi. I like Sci-Fi I just can't write it.

Anyway, I'm rambling about nothing. I do that a lot.

I hope everyone here enjoys what I write. Good luck to all of you on your own work!

Hey Crimson. I can gurentee you that you'll find lots of people willing to help you out here. Also, you may want to try Lit.org. That's where I post my stuff and it's an excellent place to get feedback.

And don't worry about the rambling, I do it myself from time to time...

Thank you so much Darkshine for the suggestion. I really appreciate it. This week has just been horrible. My whole family is sick except for me, but I was dumb and dropped a five-pound tub of frozen cookie dough just below my little toe. Now I can’t wear shoes, so I can’t go to school. I also can’t go to the doctor because it’s an hour and a half away and my mom can’t take me. I also backed into my friend’s boyfriend’s car.

There I go rambling again. Anyway, thank you.

I live up towards the Northeast corner of the state. Where it’s noting but grass and wheat and stuff. I’ve lived here for the past six years but I grew up in Aurora. That was a big change to say the least. I have been to almost every state in the USA and I have to say I like Colorado the best. The clouds here are so big and puffy. Nowhere else that I have been has had clouds like that. When I was a kid I use to imagine myself dancing on those clouds. I would pretend that I had a giant cloud castle in the sky. The sunset’s here are to die for. They produce colors that I never even imagined could be possible on this world. Rambling once again. I’m good at that. Colorado is boring though, especially where I live.

Yeah, I grew up in Littleton, right near the mountains. I always thought that they were pretty but the weather drives me crazy! It's too damd cold in the winter, and too hot in the summer. Anyways, I'm in school in Greeley now and I miss the mountains. There is nothing but grass here too. You're definately right about the clouds though. So nice and pretty.

Hey, I just got back from Greeley. I went there with my friend to get her senior pictures done. It definitely wasn’t a good day to take pictures outside though. So you go to UNC? What do you study? I’m really thinking about going to UNC myself. And thank you all for the warm welcome!

I'm majoring in english and currently taking a minor in philosophy, and this is my freshman year. So far, it's really a pretty nice place. If you want to go to college in Colorado, I'd reccommend it. Particularly if you are looking at english or teaching. The best think about it is that it's way smaller than CU and CSU, though not as well known. It's a party place too, but there are places you can go if you want to be more settled too.

Altogether not a bad place. The only downer, I'd say is it being in Greeley which is pretty far from everything. But I have a a lot of friend at CSU, and it's only about 45 minutes away.

Where else were you thinking about going?

Hi, hello. New here myself. I have the same frustrations as you do when it comes to my writing and I've been looking for a forum like this one.

I think it's nifty.

Welcome!

Darkshine,
I’m not quite sure where I want to go yet. I’m really not sure what I’m going to study but it’s not going to be English. Writing is a hobby for me. I’m planning on going for either instrumental performance/music theory and composition or drafting. If I decide on the music I will definitely try to go to UNC because if you’re into music UNC is very well known. People come from all over the country to go to Jazz Fest there. I went three times and I’m probably going this year. I’m actually wearing my UNC jazz shirt right now. The only thing that would stink about going there for me is the fact that my brother’s girlfriend started going there this year. Which means I would have to go to school with her. My brother and his girlfriend are kind of…..lame. I’m a party freak and if he heard about me partying he would flip.

Fantasia,
Welcome to you too! I can’t wait to read you writing. Maybe I’ll go do that right now.

Crimson- You should really come join us out here! I actually know a bunch of music majors and the program seems amazing. I used to play myself (bass clarinet, tuba, and oboe), but I don't have the fortitude to play at a college level. Anyways...I bet you could get away with partying. How are your brother and his girlfriend lame?

Fantasia- Welcome fellow writer!
