Just a little gander, wouldn't want to spoil it now would I?
I'm new to this little forum you have here, and I just wanted to begin by giving a bit of information on ol' Aaron. I'm a illustrator/designer by trade, but I occassionally dabble in the mystical art of story tellin'. Being a firm believer that all art is connected, I find myself constantly switching between the the different forms to further myself in the other. I think we may have a conundrum here, did I mention my spelling is awful? This is my apologizing in advance. It's not my fault, my second grade teacher kicked me out of some essential grammer lessons and I never quite caught myself up... ahhhh to be young again... and a robot.

Aaron,
Tschüss, you say?
I am board surfer, gliding from forum to forum, but I am hoping to have found a station I can stop at for a while.
You draw?
I have written fanfiction for a couple of years, and now I am returning to the well where my love of poetry began -- the notes I took in Modernism class have brought me here.
I have 5 posts, can I say welcome to you?
SD asks shyly.
PS. I know German and love drawing.

Well... i dunno... i like writing,( and reading of course) but I am not so good with art, and almost hopeless with poetry. I have been known to (shamelessly?) plagiarize a poem while in the pursuit of love however, and I really liked a number of the poems in the Tolkein books, so perhaps.......

Added to say, Penelope, I would put a little drawing of mine there instead of the luscious tongue of Scully and the delectable features of Mulder, but the damn things are too big to be avatars....
will I be censored for the use of 'damn¨?
Eeep.

Welcome!
I'm lousy at painting and that sort of art. I write a lot and am a rock musician (retired or very tired or whatever), but the way I do that is not anything approaching art, if Flo can be believed ... OUCH! That HURT!

Hello and Welcome!
I agree all art is connected...I just wish I could do a little better in drawing department. I did the cover for my book, my avatar(don't laugh)! The worst part is my husband is a fantastic artist who couldn't find the time to lend me a hand. A friend of mine since the age of 7 is also a wonderful artist...who feels his work is not worthy to be seen, so I had to put something on the cover. I look at it this way, if your creative, it's gonna come out no matter what form. *maitaman, I am a musician also! small world. I played lead guitar in a rock band for 5 years...and classical flute and piccolo for 10...now I am attempting the violin.

wohoo
scryer,
you are multi-talented...WOW
I sing for my own benefit, as I do guitar playing, drawing. Why I have decided to show others my writing, I have no clue.
Art
Art is often fart
Art is sometimes smart
but most of all
Art is Art

Hi SD,
I didn't say I was good at all of those things(ha,ha,ha) I just have to do as much as I can, learn all I can, be all that I can be...maybe I belong in the army reserves. On a serious note, classical music was my forte', guitar and vocals were an adolecent scream for attention, my band did well, local clubs etc. The botom line is my writing, I have always been a writer at heart....maybe you have chosen to show your writing to others because what you think needs to be heard.

Lots of writers want to be musicians. Dave Barry, Spielberg, etc. formed a band, and they're pretty good. I went the other way, a musician who wanted to be a writer (OK. Honestly, I was mostly heavy metal, but at 65 I look ludicrous onstage. There are a couple of pictures of me on my website when I was performing (All that HAIR! Wish I still had that much!) and one recent. I just don't tell anyone how to get there from the home page, but there IS a way!) I played with a biggie or two, but was never any big deal on my own. I have a "pleasant but nothing" voice, which would be good for jazz, but isn't grouly enough for heavy rock.
I am good with the guitar, even if I am slowing down a bit.
There's a recent picture on the author blurbs at http://surprisingstories.dcwi.com
I have a story in the mag. You can check it out. the mag's really 'way above average.

I'm C. D. Moulton. There's a story there that is in the latest Flight of the Maita book (#45) -- but eNovel went belly-up today, so I don't know when it'll get published. My own website is http://www.maitaman.com
