G'day, I'm Joel, a part time (more casual) writer...
I'm actually a student in year 12 at Frankston High School. I have a long standing interest in Art and Literature. My true love is music, however, so rock journalism of the classy 60s Rolling Stone/90s Q is my forte. If I have a forte, that is...
I play a bit of guitar and a bit of bass, Mornington Baptist church is where I normally show off me chops.
Next year I want to go to Melbourne University, unless I can scab a scholarship off Monash!
I joined this forum because of a talented young chappie known as Matt Quarterstein.

Welcome!
It seems a lot of us rocker/musicians turn to writing in our dotage -- so why before you reach that stage?
(Cliff Williams from AC/DC has a place a couple of miles from here across the bay, and Brian Howe from Bad Company, and Seger has a place a little south of here.)

Hello!
To answer CDM, I am a musician because my parents have mollycoddled me with various instruments and records/CDs since I was a youngster. I am a writer because I have discovered that I have some latent talent in that area, and mum was a journalist so...
