Newbie to the forums, not to the writing! :)

Just dropping in to say a big hiya to everyone! *waves and wanders off to check out the rest of the forums!* ^_^

Welcome, Aubrey. And, don't worry. My writing's pretty antiquated too, reading a lot of classical novels and romantic poetry will do that to you. ^^;

Penelope is an unknown quantity at this point
In a jungle of darkness, philosopher wings
lush lavender feathers float down.
Eyes of tanzanite, wisdom which sings,
whispering hoots, gregarious crown.
Tufts of inspiration, create a fascination.
Welcome and fare thee well.
Bygones removed again.
I trust you'll perch a spell.
Repeating my refrain:
Welcome and fare thee well.

Ok Penelope's starting to scare me.
Even her welcome to the board messages are now poems. Can you say the woman has too much talent to spare?

Well I can!

Girl you need to share with the rest of us schmucks.

It's that delightful avatar! this is poem # 2 inspired by this cute little wol. I just love it!

I finally wrote an Owl poem in hopes that my wol fascination will be completely vented.

oh and I should also reveal that the wol responded with a tigger poem.

They are in the lounge act. Neither of us are lizards.

Heya, Aubrey!

Don't let the flaming feathertop scare you. He's mostly harmless, in a Douglas Adams kinda way.

Please enjoy your stay, and feel free to speak your creative mind. We're all easygoing folk. Well, maybe I'm the exception there. I can get downright creepy sometimes. Don't pay me no nevermind, and you'll do fine.

*hands Aubrey a fresh orchid*

Be fruitful and divide!

AWRIGHT! Who's been picking my orchids! Leave the door unlocked one lousy minute ...

Welcome, Aubrey. I would present you with a fresh orchid, but somebody already picked all the good ones.

*accepts not one, but the two orchids and beams at everyone!*

I must thank you all muchly for the warm welcome! I find I really like it here on these forums, both the writing and the people. It's nice to find a community like this. ^_^

Penelope: I am glad you could find inspiration in the wol avvy...I find your tigger one also very inspiring. Tiggers happen to be among my most favored of all animalkind! (PS: There's another tigger/wolish poem for you in the Poem forums!)

Kurkurrage: Creepy? Lol, nahhh...I do not think that'll bother me..^_~

Bartleby: Too much talent for a writer isn't a bad thing...it's only when one feels uninspired that gives cause to mourn the (hopefully temporary) loss of talent. As I said before, my inspiration never shuts up! *laughs* It always is talking in one way or another!

*closes the door for cdm and again thanks everyone for the welcome!*

Wol, tigers are my favourite animal as well. It gave me great joy to discover it was also my Chinese zodiac sign. When it comes to nightstalkers, I adore owls, especially horned ones.
