The Javelina Named Eric
The Newest Newbie

Due to my rather long name, many of you may be wondering what a javelina is. A javelina also known as a collard peccary is a grayish wild pig that lives in the Chihuhuan desert of Mexico, west Texas, and New Mexico. It is also known to inhabit parts parts of the Sonoran desert as well. As for me, I am not a talking and typing javelina. They are simply my favorite animal, and the city I live in, Fort Worth, Texas is far away from them.
I recently turned 19 years old and will be a freshman majoring in english and philosophy at Tarrant county college before I transfer to TCU. My writing career (if you could call being unpublished a career) has lasted since I was 7. Then I wrote stories about monsters with literally quadrillions (that is a real number) of eyes, and wolfs with billions of ears.
Then I went through the adolescant angst poorly written poetry mode, until I was accepted at a workshop for young writers at the Larry McMurtry center, where I met of all people Larry McMurtry, the author of Lonesome dove, and the Last Picture Show.
Well enough bragging about my unimportant self, I would love to hear from you and read your stories and respond to them.

Nice to meet you in your cyber form.

I see that you have an interest in philosphy, a real passion of mine, maybe will talk a little philosphy over a cup of cybercoffee.

Warm Regards,
Bob

Yay more Texans! Most other forums have mostly people from Canada and Britain. And welcome javelina. And just a random thing, javelina meat is nasty.
