Newbie saying hello

Hi everybody. I was checking for writing forums and found this one. And I must say I have enjoyed reading the intros. There is a lot of humor and that's good. Writing should be taken serious but the writer should be able to laugh at him or herself.

About myself, I have one novel currently published and another on its way, as soon as the editor is done with marking the heck out of it, and then it comes back to me to stew over and correct the errors. The novels that I am currently writing are historical fiction. I need to get them out of my system before I can move onto other subjects such as Masonic conspiracies or even a sci-fi.

I live up in a cold climate where the snow just melted. Seven months of winter can make the most happiest of people miserable.
I enjoy these emoticons can you tell.

You know what I found about getting my first manuscript published is that instead of jumping for joy I was at an anti-climax. The thrill itself was in the creation. After that, I lost interest. But it's my mom out on the coast that is determined to be my agent. She's going around to all the medieval shops and bookstores to leave my card. You have to love a mom like that.

Okay, I'm out of here for a bit. I'm not sure when I will start posting but soon hopefully. My oldest is graduating, and she has me running around so much I forget half the stuff I'm suppose to do. Oh yes, one more thing, I have a webpage up and running if anyone wants to check it out maybe sign my guestbook?

Bye for now

Welcome to the site Kimberly. Congrats on being published! I can relate to the anti-climax of things as well. I'm we web developer and I'm usually bored with the process by the time the site is "live". I've interviewed several writers and they always say the same thing - "the real work starts once your book is published". Enough people say a thing and you start to believe it

Glad to have you around and I look forward to chatting with you and reading your stuff! Send me an email with your book info and I'll advertise it on my sites!

Welcome aboard Kimberly. I'll echo the congrats on getting published. I know it must be a thrill. At least at first, then the work load hits. Writing is so much more fun than editing isn't it? I'm looking forward to reading some of your work, either here or on Lit.Org. Both sites are excellent, but Lit.Org will get you a bigger audience.

Help Chrispian

Chrispian, I was going to submitt a spiritual story that has some adult thoughts and one violent area that might be disturbing to younger readers. But all the rules you have for submitting just kind of confused me. I'm not sure where this would fit into the org writing forum? Any advice?

Thank you

Kimberly

Hi. I have never published a book. It never snows where I live. It's good to have you on the site though.
