    Step in, step out...

I used to work at a kids camp, all the staff would sing the same song week after week. I've forgotten most of the words at the moment but it went something along the lines of:
    "step in, step out
    introduce yourself
    My name is Greak (yeah)
    I'm not a geek (yeah)
    and I like feet (yeah)
for the rest of my life (for the rest of his life)"

    Pretty clever, eh?

Anyways, my name is Greak for all intents and purposes. I'm a 26 year old male with a life history that's probably more extensive than most my age. I was born and raised in the mountains of California. I currently spend my time on the beaches of Cape Town, South Africa or behind my laptop.

I run a school that teaches young adults from around the world how to erase their poverty mentality and do something good with their lives. I've lived in India for 5 months as a part of this school.

I spent some time in Virginia working on a hog farm and building an organic greenhouse to raise lettuce. It was a great combination and no, we didn't grow the lettuce to feed to the pigs.

I used to "dispose" of rattlesnakes as part of a former job. I went by the name Rodeo back then.

I'm an aspiring writer. I was the op editor for my high school newspaper for two years and a staff writer for another year. That's my writing credentials at the moment.

Someday I'd like to have a pretty wife with half a dozen kids and twice as many dogs.

    To be continued...

Thanks for the warm welcome Rae! I've been lurking around for a few days and I've been quite impressed already. I'm especially keen on the thoughts of self-publishing and e-books, a drastic change from just two days ago. WF has done wonders for my old way of thought haha.

Great to have you here, Greak!

Which brings me to this question: How do you pronounce your name? Is it like the "ea" in "great", or like the long "ee" in "Greek"?

Greak would (in my mind) be pronounced with an "ee" sound, like the more commonly spelled Greek.

As soon as I hit my 10 posts I'll be posting a chapter or two from the novel I'm (attempting) to write. It should all make more sense then.
