    Lightbulb Greetings

    Hello to my fellow forum-users.

    I am actually wanting to hear from some of you on the matter of successful blogging, but that thread is pending mod approval I suppose, so here I am instead.

    Right now, I would love to know who here has any interest or familiarity with the work(s) of Leo Tolstoy, George MacDonald, Niccolo Machiavelli, Anton Chekhov, etc. I am interested because I have a blog rather devoted to excerpts and commentary from authors such as these, and I am not sure how to engage others in reading and discussing it.

    My interests are quite broad, but I have a particularly keen fascination with human psychology, history, and the study of philosophy. Right now I am mostly focused on completing two of my novels, I hope to have them prepared for publication by this summer. I also quite enjoy writing essays and news-style articles, though I have yet to share any of these broadly.

    So, in short, I am glad to be on the forums, and hopefully there shall be some interesting discussions in the future.

    Hi and welcome, Toadling.
    “The greatest achievement was at first and for a time a dream. The oak sleeps in the acorn, the bird waits in the egg, and in the highest vision of the soul a waking angel stirs. Dreams are the seedlings of realities.” ~ James Allen

    I don't know that I'd consider myself particularly intellectual. I am simply a student of life; I love knowledge and learning.

    At any rate, I have done my fair share of scribbling over the years. Writing is just something natural to me, though, akin to breathing.

    Pleased to meet you;
