    Hello!

Hello! I have always written random stories as a passing interest, usually with the finesse of a hacksaw. Now I've finally graduated college and am able to devote some real time to the hobby. I am going to take a few months to hone my art until I finally give up and go get a real job. Hopefully I'll be able to get some constructive (honesty is overrated) critism here and improve as a writer.

    Welcome to the forums, archeene.
“The greatest achievement was at first and for a time a dream. The oak sleeps in the acorn, the bird waits in the egg, and in the highest vision of the soul a waking angel stirs. Dreams are the seedlings of realities.” ~ James Allen

Charmed. Looks like the general info suggests I start by reviewing other peoples stories to make them feel guilty and review mine. I guess that means I also need to post something..

Ten reviews to start with, then you can blind us with your genius.

Hi Archeene. I am simply an ink blot on the landscape that is this forum (for the moment). My point of view is just that of a simple person, who society has had their way with and now I seek to re-invent myself. Don't ever succumb to the mentality that you aren't good enough to follow your dreams. It is we who are our own greatest cheerleaders in life.

Good luck and hope to see some of your work soon. What kind of writing do you like to read/write most?

I love reading poetry, but I am more of the paint-a-picture-with-words kind of person in a verbose, flowing, manner that occasionally comes to an abrupt stop. Like a car crash. With the hub cap still making its circles on the ground. Only there is no driver. There is nothing there. A closer look reveals no car even though we are sure we heard a crash. Time for a hot chocolate. Yummy.

That's quite an artistic hello, I'll do my best to live up to it. If I can combine the wit of oscar wilde with the depth of dostoyevsky I'll have a good story, until then I plan on churning out streams of the worst garbage you've ever seen, purely for practice. As long as the forums will refrain from judging me until I'm ready to judge myself, I'm sure i'll stick around.
