    Hi Everyone!

Ok, to start off, I'm a young aspiring writer. I'm still in high school and I'm taking an AP (college level/credit course) English class. While it's not the best help to writing fiction (specifically fantasy), it does help expand my vocabulary and increases my ability to say more with less (something I have trouble doing with in post like this though.... ramble, ramble, ramble... What was I talking about again?)...

Oh yeah! Anyway, I love writing fantasy, and recently started on a trilogy in my own world that I hope will some day find its way to book shelves after years of love and fine tuning. However, recently I came up with an idea for my writing friends of a month long story challenge in December. I'm going to participate in it too, and I decided to write a background story on the main character in the previously mentioned trilogy. Now, I've decided to write many background stories on this world that I've lovingly created, and the excitement level at times ends up looking like: . Anyway, I was thinking - If I'm ever going to become a better writer, I need more feedback than just from my family and friends who just say stuff like, "Oh this is good." for positive feedback and their 'constructive' feedback goes, "I've seen you do better." This led me to asking the almighty Google about creative writing websites, and I somehow landed here. And I got to say, even if I've only had brief looks around, this seems like a fun and interesting place.

That's basically my story of how I got here. Can't wait to share some of my work and get some good constructive feedback and see everyone else's work.

Welcome to WF, Ryan. Your enthusiasm is contagious. Have a look around and hope you enjoy your time here.

Again, thanks for the welcomes =) And welcome to you jodi, you appear to be a new member. I will be posting my first piece here at the end of December. Though, maybe I'll ending up posting a song/poem or two before then.

EDIT: Welcome to phoenixwings who also appears to be new
