Thread: Hello from New York City.

I don't really know where to start so I guess I'll state that I'm an aspiring and struggling writer from the big rotten apple. I've worked a number of crappy jobs and taken a bunch of classes in subjects I couldn't quite seem to be interested until I found my passion. I want to write for a living, which is by no means easy. But still, I'd rather do something that puts fire in my heart than half-assedly work a job I can't stand. So here I am, for better or worse. I need the criticism and I could always use some feedback. Writing is a way for me to stay sane more than it is a hobby, so take that for what it is. Nice to meet you all and look forward to swapping some stories. Cheers.

Welcome Syd. We seem to be on opposite ends of the spectrum: you can't find anything that interests you and I can't settle on one thing. But writing seems to be good for that because I can explore these interests to my heart's content. You'll just have to find your niche in addition to writing.
