    Greeting Gals and Gents

I am but a humble, wayward wanderer, perhaps you know me, perhaps not, but I find myself in a place I'm certain everyone here is quite adequately aquanted with. A crossroads. I am many things, but most primarily at this moment I am a college student, ah yes the great pivotal precipice on which hangs the future like a noose around the neck. Jolly good, jolly good...Anyway, back to the point, I have been known as something of a hoarder of hobbies, a packrat, or more politely a Jack-of-all-trades, and therein lies my possible salvation. My goal is to major in ecology and work with wolves, such a future is both intimidating and invigorating, and I am nothing if not an over-analytically cynic, ergo I'm deferring to my other hobby --writing, in the meantime, just in case my dream job remains a dream, or worse yet becomes a nightmare. A career as a writer is my plan B, what career is more sturdy than a writing career eh? oops, sorry cynicism again.

As a college student and a full time employee I have so little time to peruse any of the things I truly enjoy and so, realizing that time is not something you find but something you create I have made some time for writing and due to my nature as a daft, dawdling, derelict when it comes to focusing on one venture, I am utilizing this forum as both a creative outlet and a gang or peer-pressuring patrons to help hone my attention, you all have my gratitude. Good to meet you all, I hope to read your works and hopefully submit some of my own.

    Cheers,

Hi there, and welcome to the forums! I'm a teacher, so the opposite of what you are, haha.

Excellent introduction, LL -- it's a pleasure to have you on-board.

Working with wolves sounds incredible. Maybe you'll keep a diary when you study them and stuff; it'd make for fascinating reading (I think).

I wish you the best of luck with that and your writing. Welcome!

A pleasure to meet you two, I shall certainly strive to meet, and with much luck exceed your expectations.

I do like the idea of a diary, it's very adventurous, I'd feel like one of those old Yukon pioneers scribbling down notes on a dusty old tome with a feathered quill, maybe someday. Just hope there will be fewer fatalities than my predecessors to those cold places of the earth. Though I suppose I've got global warming on my side, always look on the bright side of life *whistles the tone*.

    Welcome to WF, LL.
